And it's Valentine's Day on top of that. I will just say one thing: it seems like everyone else either
a) has a boyfriend
b) is engaged
c) is a newlywed
d) or hasn't lost their camera card, like I have.
Ok, so the last one didn't tie in w/ the Valentine's theme I had going there.
But it's officially true:
I can't find my camera card!!! And I'm kind of freaking out about it because I have a huge choir concert this weekend and I need my camera to take pics for my 4-H project and I've looked through all my bags, backpacks and purses twice!!!
So what am I going to do?
Well, to start off, the day isn't my favorite because:
I don't have a boyfriend.
I know a boy isn't everything, I've heard it all before.
But it still would be nice to have a "significant other."
Especially since prom is coming up in a few months, I'm a senior,
I've never gone to one before, and I really want to go.
I know it's not the most important thing, but I want to experience it.
That's beside the point.
On top of everything, I have a ton of homework to do before Friday
because we're leaving really, super early the next morning (on Friday).
And here I am, writing a blog post.
How bad is that?
And I have a piano lesson on Thursday that I have to practice for,
I have Awanas tomorrow night,
Mom and I might observe court tomorrow morning,
I have a ton of English to do.
I have to cook my own supper tonight because Mom and Dad are out on a date - <3
I really wanted to take pictures of
my plant that Dad gave me yesterday for Valentine's Day (I do have someone who loves me! :)
And we got our dresses for Show Choir today and I wanted to show you
pictures of it, and I don't have my camera card!!!!
Ok, so I'll be done now, because I know it must be pretty boring to read a whole, long post of just words...
Sorry.
I guess I'm just stressing out.
And not just a little bit either.
Oh, well...
I'm headed downstairs to practice piano, listen to my music for this weekend, make supper and
try to accomplish my mountains of homework before tomorrow night.
And be in bed before 10:30pm.
Did I forget to mention that I still have to do laundry?
Call me lazy or whatever...
I don't mind.
Goodnight.
Happy Valentine's Day...

p.s Sorry that I seem so grumpy tonight...not a really good post to leave on here for a few days...I guess I just am really frustrated w/ myself about a lot of things...like not being disciplined enough, deciding whether I should do this or just keep a journal, and beating myself up over not getting things done when I should. I guess I could just delete this post in the morning...not like it really matters much...I'll stop now, because I'm just rambling. Goodnight!!
Busy week! And don't worry...it's good to put grumpy posts up now and then. It reminds us bloggers that we can be ourselves with each other! This is your blog, and if you're having a grumpy day, if you're feeling frustrated, you're allowed to get it out! We're here to listen ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I understand the boyfriend thing. And the prom thing. *le sigh*.
I hope you find your camera card :)
~Lauren :)
Don't rush a relationship, Rachel. I've seen time and again (from my perspective, which I understand is NOT always everything) girls who become so "desperate" to be in a relationship that they date the wrong guy - that is never the answer. You will meet a guy who is right for you, but don't rush it. As for prom... I didn't feel like I missed a thing - but that is just me. =)
ReplyDeleteAwww... my dad got me flowers, too. =)
Hope you can find that camera card - those pesky things are so small, aren't they!?
Thank you girls so much for the encouragement!! It's kind of funny actually because after I typed the above^post, I took an hour and made supper and did the dishes...and honestly, it made me feel less stressed! :) I never really thought that cooking might help but I guess it's because I got my mind off of school for a while. :)
Delete(long answer - sorry...but it was fun to write!!) :) Love you guys!! <3
Sometimes even the most insignificant, mundane things can bring us a sense of comfort. In your case doing those things made you feel less stressful - and that was a GREAT thing. =)
DeleteGlad your evening got better, girl. (And I hope that homework went okay for you. ;D)
I am sorry that you are having a rough day sweetie....Just remember that while things seem to be falling apart....is when God is raveling it all together!! :)
