heads up to everyone!! :D

To: my followers and other bloggers who so graciously stop by my blog---

I probably won't be posting on here until Christmas break - my priorities right now have to be school and music practicing (piano, voice) so for those of you who visit my blog from now until then, I won't have posted anything new...I still have to figure out where my blog fits into my life and if it's something I really want to focus on and put time/energy into.

Thanks to all for your understanding and patience.  (And if you decided not to follow me because I don't post very often or you're tired of looking at tabs and finding nothing there, I'm sorry...and I'm going to try and get things spiffed up around here during Christmas break).

I'm kind of pumped...here's why :D

Here's why I'm excited:

1)  I'm getting an A in my Government class - I use a computer course and I'm loving it!!!  And I might go to Washington D.C. next summer with a 4-H program. :D

2)  The Broncos won the game last Thursday.  Maybe you didn't read that right:
                       The Denver Broncos
            won their game last
        Thursday, November 17th
               .......................
and Tim Tebow made some                                         points that night!!!

Ok, that's all I had to say - so maybe I'll be quiet about it - maybe...:D

I was pretty pumped when my Dad told me what the ending score was!!  We listened to some of the game on the radio (we don't have cable - and I'm kind of glad - it's a waste of time anyway)  and Tim Tebow's plays weren't that great in the beginning, to be honest (sorry to be so blunt).  But hey, he made the winning touchdown and the Denver Broncos won the game by 4 points!!  4 points, people and they had been behind by like 8 or more points!!  :D

So #15 is my lucky number! And here's why - I was born in Denver, CO and it just so happens that one of the pretty cute guys ends up on my home state's team, he's a Christian, he's an amazing, awesome football player, and....well, you get the picture.  :D

I seriously will stop now. :D

3)  We're having my dad's side of the family over to our house on Thursday for Thanksgiving dinner, so we have to clean tomorrow and I probably have to help cook...it should be a lot of fun!!! :)

love...and my head in the clouds :D

I want this to be true for me someday...:D

I walked up the door, and closed the stairs,
I said my shoes, and took off my prayers,
I turned off the bed, and climbed into the light
... all because you kissed me goodnight.

I use these things - and I love them!! (ok, well maybe not love them, but I like them! :)

Here are a few things that I use that I really like:

#1)  Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser: The one thing I like about this face wash is that it doesn't have any preservatives, dyes, or bad stuff in it for your skin.  It does have a slight fragrance but it's not overpowering or obnoxious at all.  I like it!! :)

#2) Covergirl Sensitive Foundation:  I love the way that this foundation goes on so smooth!!  I really like it! The reason why I use the sensitive foundation is that it doesn't have any fragrance in it.  I think my skin might react if there was a fragrance.  There is also one for oily skin and another one too - I can't think of what it is though!! :)

#3)  Garnier Fructus Hair Gel:  I love the way this gel doesn't make your hair sticky or heavy - it's lightweight, smells really good and holds curl for just the right bounce!!  I use the wave-defining gel because they were out of the curl-defining gel when I was looking.  I really like it!! :)

Well, that's it for now.  Any other questions on things I use that I love, or just questions in general?

Rachel

I'm ok now - I think :)

Given the post last night, ya'll may be wondering if I'm going to be on here anymore...I am, but I have to set boundaries.  And as you can probably guess, I'm not done with school  yet - so that's one of my goals.

1) Be done with school before doing anything on blogger.
2) Make a schedule.

The one thing I really don't like is that when I think about the stuff above, I think "I should be way beyond this point now - I'm a senior and I should be able to manage my own time, get schoolwork done, and get good grades".   Well, I'll try - and I'm not succeeding so far - I'm probably not going to be on here tomorrow at all - and that's a promise!! :)  So I might be on here Thursday? Otherwise, not until next week - we're going to be gone this weekend for deer hunting (for my dad - not me though :) and we're celebrating my grandma's 90th birthday as well.  Hope you all have a great rest of the week!! :)

does anyone else ever feel like this?

ok, so right now I'm supposed to be doing anatomy, but I thought I'd get this out here while I'm at it.  Does anyone else feel like they're pretty worthless?  Like honestly, I wonder why my friends even want to be around me - for one thing, my favorite topics don't vary much :)  and besides, no one really wants to hear about the things that we talked about last time.  I know I'm rambling - I guess right now I feel like:

1) I'm wasting time on here when I should be doing schoolwork - it's more fun to read about what everyone else has been doing than actually getting my own things done.
2) The reason I can't get Facebook yet is that I'm not 'responsible' enough w/ everything else.
3) I'm afraid I'll have to get glasses because I spend too much time on the computer - ok, more than I normally do - I follow 46 blogs now - and I'm really considering just getting off of this whole thing and just reading books.
Then I wouldn't worry about whether I'm going to graduate or not; whether I"m really going to start exercising anytime soon; and maybe wondering if any guy's going to ask me to prom this year or not - I wouldn't be surprised if no one did - I'm too loud anyway.  Don't get me wrong here - I'm not thinking of doing anything drastic - I"m just trying to figure everything out.  And I know how annoying it is to just sit and listen to other people whine and complain about how complicated their life is when in reality, my life is pretty good.  I just think that I have to wait for too many things at one time.
Like yeah, I have my license now and I have a camera.  But I still want Fb, an mP3 player, a laptop and a phone.  They're not the most important things in the world, I know, but they're things I want.  And besides, they cost money, but hey, I've got some - but on the other hand, I probably should save that for college.  But hey, that's what bday and Christmas money's for, right?  All this to say - I really feel at loose ends right now - like I really don't know what my life's going to be about and I really don't care right now.  I guess I just want to sit and read the rest of my life - and that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I make lists, people - and I re-write them - and then two weeks later, re-write them again because maybe I've checked off one or two things but I have "mountains of homework to do!!!!" and it's not getting better.  I think I'm the most lazy senior around here - I probably won't even pass this year -and then I won't go to college, and then I won't get a bf (my mom wouldn't like to hear this :) and you know what - I better stop before I bore you to death -I'm getting a little tired myself.  I don't know what I accomplished by writing this post - just a whole bunch of words and dashses - and they don't really make sense...just like I really don't make sense - a lot of times.  and I don't have it that bad off compared to other people.  I'm tempted to just stop going on here for a long time - and then I'll never catch up on reading everybody's posts.

goodnight. and hope you have a better night than I do...anatomy here I come...:D (not!! :)

Babysitting, homecoming game, Campus Days

I forgot to put anything on here about Homecoming Days at school but here are two pics of the Show Choir when we performed for Coronation: (which was on Monday night)

My friend Courtney and me (I'm on the left :)

Singin' on stage - I'm the 2nd from the left

The Coronation was 50's theme so we had some fun trying to find outfits for that - it was a lot of fun though.  We sang "A Teenager in Love" and it was really cute! :)

Friday night was the football game and suffice it was say that we lost 60-0.  We weren't that surprised - we played the 3rd best team in the state and we haven't won a game in probably 3 years.  After the homecoming dance (please, someone remind me to do a post on that sometime - well, maybe not - it's was really funny what happened, but ya'll don't know the people, so it wouldn't be the same.  You decide :)...anyway, one of my friends had me and a few othere girls out to her house for a sleepover after the dance.  Here's a picture from the morning after ( we all look pretty good, considering we didn't get to bed until about 2 AM - fun night :)

Me, Carita, Camille, Jenny, Montana

Carita and Jenny are foreign exchange students at our school for this year - it was a really fun time!! :)

Here's a few pics of the cute little guy I babysit sometimes - his name is Mark and he's 3, but he talks like a 5 year old - he's a really smart little cookie :)...

I know this post was kind of out of order, but at least I got it on here, right?! :)

We went roller-skating and went to the Mall of America at Campus Days at AFLBS - I don't have any pics though, sorry...:P

remembering the warm, crunchy leaves days...

Our family of 3 went Sica Hollow about a month ago and I got some fun pictures.  So here's to remembering what it was like having warm fall weather (and the leaves were still all on the trees too :)

Toby Keith - American Soldier

It must be so hard to have a family and be a soldier - I can't imagine.  Remember Veteran's Day on Friday!!

Letters From War

I'm not ashamed to say that I cried during this video - it's so real. And it's hit home to us and our country. Remember our veterans and our soldiers this Veterans' Day - I have a cousin in the National Guard who could get deployed - it's a scary thought. And yet we need to be strong for them and pray for them. Be safe - and come back to us soon.

We love you.

"A boy makes his girl jealous of other women.
A gentleman makes other women jealous of his girl."

A real man is what every girl wants - someone who will protect her, stand by and support her, respect her, love and cherish her from his heart...someone who will always listen to you, and who will love you so much, that he would wait to give his heart only to you.  That 's the kind of guy I want...<3

(p.s. I'm not the best at putting pictures with posts and I know they don't always fit together, but I guess that's what blogging is all about, right? - exploring the ways that you express yourself - and sharing that with others.

~Rachel <3

something exciting happened today!!!! :D Can you guess what it is?

I'm sure you're all just dying to read what I"m about to write on here - and I promise that it is something exciting and not just a random post on how cute boys are, blablabla :D  Anyways, drumroll please:

I OFFICIALLY GOT MY LICENSE TODAY!!!! YEAH!!!! :D

So now I can drive by myself during the day, have one passenger under 21 and if I have more than one passenger, there has to be a licensed adult in there too. I can't have my full license until I'm 18 but that in 6 months (Yikes!!! :D) so now I can drive by myself! :)  (I know I just said that, but hey, it's hard to believe it's true!)  Two things that were kinda funny that happened:

~ The examiner did say at the end that he almost didn't pass me because I wasn't going fast enough and I would be a traffic hazard...and he asked me why I was driving so slow and I was like 'I normally don't drive that slow; I think it's because it was my test'. So I was more paranoid about not observing the intersections and not flunking the parallel parking and backing that I didn't even once look at the speedometer!!! :)  Not good huh! :( But I do obey speed limits and I'm not a traffic hazard.  So anyways that's behind me now - and hey, I still passed so that good enough for me! :)
~ One of my friends had told me that she had cried after she passed her license test and I was thinking 'yeah, sure that'll never happen to me'....well I ate those words. I was so paranoid that I didn't drive fast enough that I was crying more from that and that the instructor wasn't the happiest with me then that I passed my test.  So I was bawling my eyes out -  and I think it was because I was under so much pressure and I still have a cold from about a month ago and my head hurt...but I made it - and boy, am I happy!! :)

I'm going to try and find some sort of driving picture and put it on here as an ending note: (we'll see what I find! :)

Can't you totally see that that's me? :D Oh, and I saw the cute cop today - ask me about that crazy story sometime! :D
